Help - Taking An Item

How do I take an item?
Browse the categories or search for a specific item. If you like what you see, click the "Take This Item" button and a Swap Credit will be deducted from your account. The Swaprocks! computer will send an email to the user offering the item along with your mailing information. The user will send a confirmation email to you saying that the item has been mailed to you.

How many items can I take?
You can take as many items as you have Swap Credits. Each credit you accumulate entitles you to take an item. So once again, the more you offer, the more that gets taken from you, the more Swap Credits you earn, the more you can take.

What do I do when I receive an item?
Make sure it's what you wanted and log on to your My Swap page. The item will appear in your "Items I'm Waiting For" list, with an option to indicate you have received the item. When you click on the link to indicate you have received the item, you'll have the opportunity to rate the transaction. This rating will contribute the user's overall rating and earn that individual a Swap Credit.

What if I received an illegally copied item?
Immediately contact Swaprocks! Support. We'll deal with the evil-doer.

How does the rating system work?
Each time you send an item to another user they have the ability to rate the transaction. The average of these ratings appears in your member profile.

Can I cancel my take?
If you're able to notify the other user before they mail the item, you can work it out from there. If it's in the mail there's nothing that anyone can do at this point. However, if you don¹t want the item, you can click "Offer Item" in the Item's I've Received section of you're My Swap page.

How do I contact the offerer?
Click the "Ask Lister A Question" link on the items page.

What if seller never ships item?
Attempt to contact the user to work things out via the "Ask Lister A Question" link on the items page. If this doesn't work, report your problem to Swaprocks! Support and we will contact the lister.

What if I receive something materially different from the auction description?
Attempt to contact the user to work things out via the "Ask Lister A Question" link on the items page. If this doesn't work, report your problem to Swaprocks! Support and we will contact the lister.

How do I rate the seller?
